The universe just tilted...just a little bit...
The River City Regiment just squeaked by perennial powerhouse San Francisco Renegades at a competition up north last night in Stockton, California. This sets things up nicely for the corps that I write the show for, So Cal Dream, who will be traveling up north next weekend to compete against these two groups with a show that is pretty dang good on its own terms.
WOW!!! Congrats to RCR!!! And Renegades needs MAJOR props for battling on this season despite some pretty massive struggles during the rehearsal season, which included no less the ENTIRE snare line (except one--and I think he was eating a ham sandwich) at various points within I believe a 7-day span, quit the corps for a variety of reasons (none of which I have heard had ANYTHING to do with the Renegades organization as a whole--meaning, no disgruntled people--injuries, family things, work, etc).
The Westcoast Showdown next weekend...be there...and see the California "giants" of the fledgling senior corps movement on the west coast duke it out.
